Fiji Islands Information
Join other lucky divers and adventurers on a special expedition to Fiji to dive with up to 8 different different shark species. There are plenty of land activities so this is a great opportunity for a family vacation or together with non-diving companions.
You will be diving without a cage with large animals that have been baited so that we can get close up images of the sharks.
Not only will you be diving with the main targets, Bull Sharks, but also possibly Tiger Sharks, Silvertip, Lemon, Blacktip, Whitetip Reef Sharks, Nurse and Grey Reef Sharks.
You will be lodged at either Uprising Beach Resort or the luxurious Pacific Pearl Resort on the Pacific Harbor area of Viti Levu, Fiji’s main island. At the Uprising resort you will be in a traditional Fijian style bungalow called a Bure or at the Pearl in a Garden View room. You can also upgrade to a double Ocean View, Penthouse suite, or twin suite. All accommodations are double occupancy. Single supplement available.
Pacific Harbor is called Fiji’s “Adventure Capital†because of the many exciting possibilities to enjoy yourself. The main attractions in the area are both the great soft coral and the adrenaline-pumping shark feed diving, but the choices do not end there. You can also golf on a Trent Jones designed golf course, sportfish, snorkel in the lagoon, surf world-class breaks, jetski, Zip-line and – our favorite – do some excellent river rafting!
Upper Navua river rafting takes you 17 miles through a stunningly beautiful river gorge with multiple waterfalls, plenty of wildlife and lush rainforest canopy over the river’s edge. During high water levels the rafting starts at level IV and drops down to level III as the river slows down approaching the ocean. When there is less water, the river is level III or II all the way, but not any less beautiful!
Luva river rafting is done by inflatable kayaks and the river has mild class II rapids. While the river is calmer than Upper Navua, the handling of the single kayak can be a little more demanding. On your way down the river, enjoy the views of cascading waterfalls, pass villages and swimming children, and take in the incredibly green and scenic rainforest backdrop. You can also try a jungle zip-line ride for that unique thrill!
