White Shark Diving For Everyone!

Now everyone can get "up close and personal" with the ocean's ultimate predator-The Great White Shark. San Diego Shark Diving Expeditions is offering anyone over the age of 12 a chance to view these huge predators from the safety of our custom designed shark cages. We will have an instructor teach you how to safely breathe from our hookah regulators so that you can now join us on our very successful Great White Shark expeditions to Isla Guadalupe. This is a great opportunity for families, friends, and non-scuba certified individuals to participate on these exciting trips. A minimum of restrictions will apply, please call for details.

The Islander accommodates 16 divers and is a sturdy vessel. Accommodations are in double occupancy cabins each with a sink. There is plenty of extra storage space for gear and camera equipment. The Islander is 88 ft long. It has 3 decks. A sundeck, Lounge/salon and and lower berthing area. Meals are generous and emphasize American cuisine and seafood dishes. Please let us know if you have special dietary preferences.

Guadalupe Is. is 210 mi. SSW of San Diego and 144 mi. offshore on the
Pacific side of the Baja Peninsula. Water temperatures at this time of year should be in the mid 60-70s and visibility is often 80-100 ft. The transit form Ensenada to Isla de Guadalpe will take about 19 hours.

We will be using "hooka regs" (long hosed regulators connected to the boat's air bank system) so you only need to bring your wetsuit/drysuit, booties, hood, gloves, and mask. Note: those wishing to use the submersible cage must be scuba certified and will need to bring their BCD and regulator.

2010 Mexican regulations mandate that all vessels visiting Guadalupe Island must depart from and return to Ensenada. A bus will pick up passengers at the Holiday Inn Bayside in Point Loma at 6 AM. We are hoping to clear Mexican Customs and Immigration for a 10 AM vessel departure. That should get us to Guadalupe Is. early the next morning. We'll have until around 5 PM on the last day at the island to dive before our return to Ensenada. The 5-day itinerary will give us 3 full days at the island at Guadalupe. The boat should arrive into back into Ensenada around 1:00 PM on the last trip day.  We recommend that if you are flying, to book your reutrn flight the next day.
