Guadalupe Is. is 210 mi. SSW of San Diego and 144 mi. offshore on
the Pacific side of the Baja Peninsula. Water
temperatures at this time of year should be
in the mid 60-70s and visibility is often 80-100 ft.
The transit form San Diego to Isla de Guadalpe will take about 22
hours.
We will be using "hooka regs" (long hosed
regulators connected to the boat's air bank system) so you only
need to bring your wetsuit/drysuit, booties, hood, gloves, and mask.
The boat will depart around 9:00 AM from Fishermen's Sportfishing Landing in the Point Loma area of San Diego. That should get
us to Guadalupe Is. around 8:30AM the next morning.
We'll have until around 3 PM on the last day
at the island to dive before our return to San Diego. The 5-day itinerary
will give us 3 full days at the island at Guadalupe. The boat should
arrive into San Diego around 3:00-5:00 PM on the last trip day. We recommend that if you are flying, to book your
reutrn flight the next day.
